Review: Maybelline BB cream

Hey Hey Heya!
Its 21.12.2012 and I'm still here updating on a new post. guess it's not end of the world eh?
So, today its gonna be a review on another drugstore products which is the Maybelline BB cream and Maybelline BB White. Lets skip to the chase!

Left: BB Cream
Right: BB White

I didn't purchase this both at the same time. I've been using the BB Cream now coming to my third tube. While the BB white was my first purchased and because it has an SPF50. Both of them that I'm using is in the shade 02-Natural but as u can see from the picture above the BB C is a bit darker than the BB W.
The difference between these two are shown on the package
BB Cream- SPF26++, brightens, evens, smoothes, refines, clears, conceals, moisturizes, and protect skins.
BB White- SPF50++, brightens, evens, smoothes, corrects, conceals, hydrates, and 12H wear.

For me, BB C covers all that its claimed on the package. This is kinda like my go-to bbcream. It does cover light blemishes and it really suits with my skin. On the other hand, BB W is more to the moisturizer side that a foundation. Even thou I took the shade 02-Natural it is just too light for me. It also makes my face oily within just seconds :(  *I have oily skin type..It doesn't really covers the blemishes like the BB C :( But I think this would be great for someone fair with dry skin.. are you one of them? ^^

Will I repurchase this? Will definitely continue to purchase the Maybelline BB C but not for the BB W. I don't really need a high spf bb coz I applied my Hada Labo uv milk or the Biore uv Aqua Rich which I have made a review on. You can click HERE if you haven't read it :) But for someone who doesn't have high spf in the moisturizer can definitely check out BB W ( if you don't have oily skin).

If you have anything to ask or products that you want to try but unsure of it, just send me an email at sugarcoatmymascara@gmail.com or you can comment below :) Make sure to be a follower if you support beauty and cool stuff^^

Thanks for your time Sugars!

Ps: Sorry If the words are a bit up n down.. its midnight and i'm sleepy..
Pps: I am not paid to review this. This is my honest review based on my experience.

Review: Silkygirl Lipstick

Hey hey heya Sugars!

Another review for today.
Note that most stuff that I'm reviewing are mostly drugstore a.k.a cheap. Not the high-end branded stuff okayy :) Its not that I don't like high-end but I love collecting makeups, so most of them will never be used until the end..what a waste right? Unless those stuff are my holy-grail that I can't live without... hehe
I will be reviewing two lipstick from the Silkygirl range which are Vamp and Hot. If you don't know this brand you can click HERE.
So lets begin!
Currently I am into those dark type of lipstick..but actually I'm not that bold person to wear this out.. hehe..unless its a special occasion :) So I bought this at Signature, Karamunsing with a great deal! Normal price is RM17.90 (EM) , but I think due to the month of holiday and shopping, there was a sale on these babies. Bought each for RM8.95. yay!

 Left: Vamp
Right: Hot
Sorry bcoz its a bit blurr..*saving up money to buy a good camera*

I love this brand because it is affordable and their products are quite good. Also, I have sensitive lips and this doesn't make my lips chapped. Why I say sensetive because I've used an IN2IT lipbalm before and it burned my lips so bad!! Even with one application it hurts my lips..thought of doing a review but I threw it out already since I can't use it anymore :(
So, back to Silkygirl.. I've also been using other products from them such as mascara, BB cream and powder..but there are also downfall on their foundation:(... oh wow! maybe I should do a Silkygirl brand entry.. *tingting*<---bell sound

Packaging: Nice simple silver tube
Lasting power: 4/5
Moisture: 4/5 (doesn't dry out my lips)

Would I repurchase this:  Definitely!

Til we meet again in the next post..

Current Favorite Youtubers

Hey Hey Heya!
It's 10 more days till Christmas.. yay!
So as I mentioned in my previous post, I'll blog about my favorite YTbers. I started getting addicted watching YT since last year..*yeah, I know... I'm lame* I was so busy with studies I don't even have time to do other stuff except studying. The first two years of my university life I was a simple girl who doesn't really care about appearances or dress up to go to class ( i'm not that typical girlish girl..i'm kinda rocka chic..haha). So, ever since I discovered YT.. my life change..literally..haha..I know how to do my own makeup from day time to night makeup, what type of skincare that suits my skin type, what types of outfit that best fit my figure..and all of this knowledge I gained for FREE!! awesome much??..except for the internet bills of course...hehe
So lets begin! ( in no particular order)

Makeup/ Skincare/ Fashion/ Hair
  • Dope2111/ Promise Phan
  • Bubzbeauty
  • Michelle Phan
  • Sasakiasahi
  • Xclosetoreal
  • Xteener
  • Fromheadtotoe
  • Aprilathena7
  • Itsjudystime
  • Bebexo
  • Lilith moon (mostly hair tutorials)
  • Anneroshine
  • Chriselle Lim
I wish I can describe each and every guru's but I just suck at writing..don't get me wrong, I love blogging and sharing my thoughts but I'm just not a good writer I guess :/ that is why I keep all my post short, simple and straight to the main point. :)
Listed above are my current favorite guru's that I frequently visit their channel..If you notice, most of them are asians (all except Lilith moon and Xclosetoreal). I'm not saying US guru's aren't great but as an asian, their makeup techniques are more suitable in terms of skin color and eye shapes and so. I do watch others such as Pixiwoo, Pixiwoo2, Andreaschoic, Rachhloves and so on..there are a lot more beauty guru's that I adore but when I'm thinking of a tutorial or advice, these are the people that pop up in my mind.
So go and check them out! :D

Extra information that I would add on is a non-beauty related YTbers that can make me LMAO. They just fill my days with laughter. I don't know what categories they are in but they kinda like comedic variety YTbers.
*drumrolls......

  • Nigahiga
  • Dailygrace
  • JimChapman
  • JennaMarbles
  • theDominicshow
  • DavidParody
Go check them out if you wanna know what I mean. :D If you have other recommendation. just comment below..

So this is the end of my post..It's midnight here so goodnight sugars, thanks for dropping by ^^

Current Favorites

Hey Hey Heya!
Today I just feel like blogging...
I've been obsessed with some fashion and makeup styles. It may not be up to date, but IDK..
I just love these.
So lets begin!
Smokey Eyes and Dark Wine Lipstick
I'm sure you've seen Skyfall right? Well, I haven't..sad but true :/
I've seen some youtube guru's done a makeup tutorial of the Bond Girl and it just caught my attention.
( You can checkout Michelle Phan and Xclosetoreal tutorial on this. They are my fav!)
I freakin love this look...but the problem is..can I pull this bold look off? Well, here in my country you don't see this kind of makeup unless it is for certain occasion. Plus, not everyone looks superb in this look but Bond girl Sévérine (Bérénice Marlohe) definately rock this look! Agree?

Here are some celebrities inspired looks.

Peplum Outfits
 Celebrities with peplum outfits
Peplum is the fashion now! Everyone is crazy about this. What I love about this style is it gives a slimmer waist look and all body shapes can rock this outfit.

Knitted Sweater Top
I must say..this is A MUST HAVE item in every girls wardrobe. It is super comfy and flowy style. Who doesn't love this? I know..I know..the weather here in Malaysia is hot, but shopping malls have air conditioner right? hehe...
( Check out Bebexo's youtube channel on how she styles them. Super cute!)

Kate Middleton Wedges Inspired
I am so in love with wedges now. I used to love wearing heels but after awhile I get tired of it, then I go for flats. Yeah..of course it was wayyyy comfortable but I'm kinda petite (5'2) so wedges is the best solution :D
Closed toe wedges have existed long ago... I know.. but seeing Kate Middleton in wedges made me want it too.. especially her blue suede wedges. gahh... love it! Did you heard the news that she's pregnant now? :D
Yay! So happy for the couple :D

So, this is the end of my post for today.
My next post will be on favorite youtubers.

Till then..C!ao

Review: FANNY SERRANO Light Tulip Liquid Lipstick

Heya ! So today i'm gonna review something that I won through a giveaway. Firstly, this Fanny Serrano is not available here in my country..I think..coz I've never seen this before. So I was quite surprised when I opened this lipstick. It has light in it :O... wow! I think that is superrr awesome..
Then, there's a small mirror at the side.. which is also a cool thing.
It may look like a lipgloss tube but its not.The texture of this lipstick is thick and I like that it does not have any fruit scent , just a normal lipstick scent. Because of the thick texture, its a bit difficult to apply with the applicator. So, what I normally do is dab a bit on my middle lower lips and spread it out using my pinky finger. Add more if you like so but a thin layer of it is enough for me because it lasted very long and it doesn't make my lips dry.
Oh! Sorry I didn't take any pic of me wearing.. but I can assure you that the color is kinda like mauve pink.
I wish this is available here :( bcoz I have sensitive lips. Not every lip product suits me.

P/s : Excuse me if my english is incorrect. I write review based on my experience and none of them are sponsored.

Review: Ginvera Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream

Heya !
So today's review is about Ginvera Nude Cover BB Cream with spf30. The main ingredient is Green Tea extract. Why green tea? The Green Tea Extract has 20 times more anti-oxidant power as compared to Vitamin C, providing superior protection against harmful UV rays.
okay..okay.. I don't usually explain what the product is because it can be read anywhere on the web. Cut to the chase, here's my review:

Pros: ~ Easy to apply, glides smoothly on skin.
          ~ Even's out skintone.
~ Gives a natural finish look.
          ~ Long lasting.
          ~ Medium coverage.

Cons:~ a bit dewy for me since I have oily T-zone, but after applying press powder it looks much better :)

Will I repurchase this? YES

p/s: If you are looking for a full coverage, this might not suits you. But overall, this is a good product.

Short and simple review. Thanks for reading :)

Review : Hada Labo UV Moist Emulsion vs Biore UV Aqua Rich

Heya! So today I am finally gonna give my 2 cents on Hada Labo UV Moist Emulsion vs Biore UV Aqua Rich. I think these two are in the light moisturizer category. Because I have oily skin, it is difficult for me to find a suitable moisturizer with spf..because spf tend to add oil to the face or white cast..>.< Even some moisturizer claim to be oil free, yet still makes my face oily. Nobody likes oily face right? So, I've been searching high and low and finally came to these two. :) So here's my review

Both back wording are in Japanese

Here, the left side is the HL and right side is Biore. HL consistency is more liquid and Biore is a bit cream type.  I purchased the HL first. I love it! It absorb quickly in the skin and has a very light feeling. When I almost run out of it, I can't seem to find it since most of the place are sold out. So I decided to give Biore a try. To my surprise, it is as good as HL, plus it is cheaper than HL :D yeah! Both have spf 50 which is a thumbs up because the weather here in Malaysia is super duper hot!!
P/s: I also use both of them as moisturizer and for makeup base. But for those who have dry skin type, this won't be enough to moisturize your face.
Would I repurchase the item? Yes of course I would repurchase both but I would go for Biore first.

Thanks for reading :)

Til the next post. Ciao!

Review: Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Skincare

heya! sorry for the lack of update.. been so busy lately.
So this is my first review.. the Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing. I've heard great and not so great reviews about this product. So i decided to give it a try myself. I actually bought the set from Groupon few months back. There were four items- AHA+BHA Foaming Wash, Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion, Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Milk, and Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Mist. As you can see from the picture above, there's only two out of four items.. so here's the review....

AHA+BHA Foaming Wash

Sorry to say, this really doesn't suits me :( First day i used it, the next day I got a huge pimple on my chin. not a big deal as i usually get some now and then. Next day i used this again, another pimple on my chin. So i decided to give this another try for the third day. Guess what?  YES! another pimple at the same place. I immediately stopped using this and gave it away to a friend. I have a combination skin type ( oily T-zone) whereas my friend is a dry skin type. So i don't recommend this to people who have oily skin type.

Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Milk

Another thumbs down for me :( . As i mentioned, i have a combi skin type. A small amount of product is enough for the whole face and neck. But even i tried to put as little as possible, it is still too oily and it breaks me out too. So, i gave this away to a friend too. That explains why two of these products are not in the crappy picture.

Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion

A lot of people are asking about the difference between the Milk and Lotion. Well, Milk is kinda like our Moisturizer, creamy type whereas Lotion means Toner, more to water base. It is said that this Lotion is sold every 4 seconds in Japan! So far, I'm still using this product, it doesn't breaks me out, doesn't have any smell or makes my skin oily. four drops is enough for the whole face and neck, just like the SHA Milk. It also does have that elasticity effect like in their commercials. For combi and oily skin, this is recommended because it is lightweight and add a little moisture to your face.

Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Mist

I am not really a face mist kinda person, but I do use this sometimes when I need to freshen up myself after a long day. it kinda acts like the SHA Lotion but this is easier to bring along.

Would I repurchase this item: I would only consider repurchase the SHA Lotion.

P/s : this is my honest review, i'm not being paid or anything. You can visit their Malaysian webpage for more details. http://www.hadalabo.com.my
